Taha 131-132

131- AND DO NOT LOOK AT WHAT WE GIVEN SOME OF THEM TO ENJOY, IT IS THE FLOWERY ORNAMENT OF THIS LOWER LIFE, SO THAT WE MAY MAKE IT THEIR TEST AND TRIAL, BUT THE PROVISIONS OF YOUR LORD ARE BETTER AND MORE LASTING.

132- AND COMMAND YOUR FAMILY TO BE STEADFAST IN SALAH, AND TO BE PATIENT AND PERSEVERE WITH THE SALAH, WE ARE NOT ASKING YOU FOR ANY PROVISION, BUT WE PROVIDE FOR YOU, AND GOOD RECOMPENSE WILL BE GIVEN LATER FOR PIETY.

Mankind are created liking good things, money, and power. Allah the Highest said: “THE LOVE OF PLEASURES HAS BEEN BEAUTIFIED FOR MANKIND; OF WOMEN, CHILDREN, HEAPS OF GOLD AND SILVER, THE BRANDED HORSES, CATTLE AND TILLED LAND. THESE ARE THE PLEASURES OF THE LOWER LIFE, BUT WITH ALLAH IS THE EXCELLENT DESTINY”. (S:3 A:14)
And there is no limit to the wealth and pleasures a person could have, and only few people are satisfied with what they have. Therefore, we often look at what others have more than we do and sometimes envy or even covet them.

Allah the Highest is telling us not to look at what other have, desiring what they have and we do not have, for they are given their reward in this life, while the believers are given their greatest reward in the Hereafter. The pleasures of this life are a temptation for us: “ALLAH GIVES PLENTY OF PROVISIONS TO WHOM HE WILLS AND ALSO LIMITS IT. THEY ARE OVERJOYED WITH THE LOWER LIFE, THOUGH THE LOWER LIFE PROVISIONS ARE LITTLE COMPARED TO THE HEREAFTER”. (S:13 A:26)

The pleasures of the lower life are temporary, while those of the Hereafter are everlasting and eternal, and far superior in every respect.

Allah the Highest is commanding His prophet, prayer and peace upon him, and the Muslims to command their families, wives and children to pray the prescribed Salah and to persevere in maintaining regular Salah. The Salah is the first of our deeds we will have to account for on the Day of Resurrection.

Allah the Highest does not need us to pray, or to provide him with any provisions, but the prayer is for our sake and for our own benefit. Allah the Highest provides us with what we need to live, of food, drink, air, shelter etc., and also with the guidance to live the way of Allah the Highest. The end and the final recompense will be in the Hereafter, where the pious of the believers will be the winners. They are the ones who enjoy the Hereafter.
